Percept Systems develops advanced computer vision systems for industrial applications, including small aircraft, UAVs, thermal imaging, and aerial mapping of wildfires.
The company recently re-tooled to produce optical-grade, eco-friendly face shields for COVID-19 eye protection, in response to the federal government’s call for medical-grade personal protective equipment (PPE).
Percept Systems is now producing over 1,000 Health Canada/FDA approved face shields per day for use in healthcare environments and other high-risk settings.
“We were aware of the shortage of these critical medical supplies and wanted to help out where we could,” says Nowak. “This was the right thing to do.”
