eDiscovery is a set of foundational workshops for UBCO students, faculty, staff, and recent alumni who have an entrepreneurial idea or are interested in developing their entrepreneurial mindset.

Workshops

eDiscovery is delivered through a series of foundational workshops supplemented with online training and support through Impact Toolbox for UBCO students, faculty, staff, and recent alumni who have an entrepreneurial idea and are interested in developing their entrepreneurial mindset. Participants are expected to attend all workshops and participate in online programming.

Participants will be provided complimentary access to Impact Toolbox, a digital social-minded venture incubator that empowers builders and creators to transform their ideas and passions into socially-minded viable businesses & community development projects through training, coaching, tools and growth resources. The platform will walk participants through key learnings in strategic planning, social enterprise and product-market fit that can be applied to their idea.

Participants will come together for the in-person workshops delivered in partnership with Accelerate Okanagan. Workshops will focus on supporting entrepreneurs through:

  • Problem Analysis and Ideation
  • Lean Business Model Canvas Design
  • Problem Validation and Customer Discovery
  • Solution Testing and Customer Validation
  • Positioning and Presenting a Business Idea

 

Workshops are free for UBCO students, staff, and alumni. No experience is required. Must register in advance to attend.
